Clarification on Repair Estimates

It is common in Florida — more than in many other states — for clients or agents to expect a home inspector to suggest or estimate the cost of repairs for issues identified during the inspection.

At Aqua Lux Home Inspection, we want to be absolutely clear: we do not provide, propose, or imply any pricing or repair estimates under any circumstance.

Every building system, like all man-made components, follows a natural process of wear and eventual replacement. Each element within a home depends on the condition and functionality of the others — and when one reaches the end of its service life, its replacement or upgrade must be determined by a qualified specialist familiar with current materials and technologies.

Our responsibility is to inspect and report conditions as they exist at the time of inspection.
From that point forward, any evaluation of costs, methods, or materials for correction falls under the responsibility of the appropriate trade professional.
